After securing the AFC’s No. 1 seed and the conference’s only first-round playoff bye with a Christmas victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Kansas City Chiefs are only a few games away from possibly playing in and winning a third-straight Super Bowl.

The Chiefs were a popular bet to win the Super Bowl before the season began on gambling sites like BetMGM, and now they’ve returned to that with two weeks before the playoffs start.

BetMGM has Kansas City’s odds to win the Super Bowl set at +375, the lowest of the current playoff teams. The next lowest team, the Detroit Lions, have odds set at +400 on the same website. This means if you were to place a $10 wager on Kansas City, you would win $37.50.

FanDuel, another gambling site, also has the Chiefs as the favorite to win the Super Bowl. KC’s odds are set at +360, the lowest on the website. Detroit, the Buffalo Bills and the Baltimore Ravens have the next lowest odds.

FanDuel also lists the odds for what the Super Bowl matchup will be, showing Kansas City vs. Detroit as the likeliest outcome with odds of +550.

Gambling site DraftKings says the Chiefs are the favorite to three-peat at +360 odds. The favorite matchup to happen is once again the Chiefs vs the Lions at +550, and the odds for either team to win in this matchup are +1200.

Lower odds mean the outcome is more likely to happen in the sports gambling world.

Reminder: Sports gambling is legal in Kansas, and Missouri residents do not have to live in Kansas to place wagers. All they have to do is cross the state line.

Missouri voted to make sports gambling legal in 2024, but bets are not yet allowed.
