The first Royals game to be broadcast over the air in Kansas City is planned this week
The Royals won’t be wearing their powder-blue uniforms for this Sunday’s game against the Orioles, but it will be a throwback game in one sense.
Fans will be able to watch the game without streaming or having cable.
When the Royals play the Orioles at 1:10 p.m. at Kauffman Stadium, the game will air as usual on FanDuel Sports Kansas City. But it also will be simulcast on KCTV (Ch. 5) and KSMO (Ch. 62), which are both over-the-air options (if you have an antenna).
“We’re trying to find a way to put those games out there, kind of the way people used to watch our games,” CEO and chairman John Sherman said earlier this year at Royals Rally.
Here is how to watch the rest of the Royals contests this week. The games will all be streaming on Amazon Prime.
