Live stats, score updates from Kansas City Royals vs. Cleveland in Sunday finale
The Kansas City Royals have their first chance to win a regular-season series Sunday, and considering the opponent, it’s a fairly big deal.
Saturday’s Game 2 between KC (1-1) and Cleveland (1-1) featured some late drama, just like opening day, but the Royals took that one thanks largely to Maikel Garcia, Bobby Witt Jr. and new closer Carlos Estevez.
Did you catch Estevez’s special save celebration by the way? It had the announcers baffled, but The Star’s Pete Grathoff got the backstory.
That sets up today’s Game 3, with first pitch at 1:10 p.m. Central.
