See what it takes to shine up Kauffman Stadium for Kansas City Royals’ Opening Day game

Kauffman Stadium, the home of the Kansas City Royals, is maintained year round, but as Opening Day nears, the facility gets a little more attention.

Stadium maintenance workers and members of the ground crew were busy Tuesday shining everything for Thursday’s Opening Day game with the Cleveland Guardians.

While crews hosed down seats so they are clean for fans attending the opener, the grounds crew was on the field behind home plate hand painting the Opening Day logo that adorns all of the MLB diamonds that will be hosting games on Thursday.
