One of Branson’s most popular musical acts will perform national anthem at Royals opener
The tourist website for Branson, Missouri, includes a list of the must-see shows in town.
The Haygoods, who have been performing in the city for more than 30 years, are high on that list. Five brothers (Timothy, Michael, Patrick, Dominic and Matthew) and their sister Catherine make up the group that boasts it has sold more than 7 million tickets.
“In a city known as the ‘Live Entertainment Capital of the World’ (due to Branson’s many theaters and live musical acts) the Haygoods have one of the most dynamic and well-produced shows on the strip,” Forbes wrote in 2022.
While they are a staple in Branson, the Haygoods will be in Kansas City this week, but for a short time. They’ll be here to sing one song.
The Haygoods announced in a Facebook post that they will be performing the national anthem Thursday at the Royals’ 2025 season opener.
“BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! The Haygoods will sing The National Anthem at The Kansas City Royals Season Opener March 27th at 3:00 PM!” the band wrote on Facebook. “Thank you to the Royals organization for this incredible opportunity to honor our Country and KC we will see you soon! We will be back in Branson for our show that night as well.”
