See results, winners from Kansas high school girls tennis state championships

The Kansas girls state tennis championships took place over the weekend, and Class 6A featured a freshman vs. freshman matchup to decide the singles title.

It was Lawrence Free State’s Eli Ward who earned the state title win over runner-up Seraphine Besong, though Besong helped lead Olathe Northwest to the team championship.

Free State finished in second overall, with Blue Valley North, BV Northwest and Shawnee Mission East rounding out the top 5.
