Details of welcome home ceremony for NCAA champion Kansas Jayhawks have been released

The conquering heroes will be back in Lawrence on Tuesday.

One day after winning the fourth NCAA men’s basketball national championship in school history, the Kansas Jayhawks are set to return to the roost, and the school is planning to celebrate on Tuesday.

Fans are encouraged to join what is being billed as a Welcome Home Celebration following the Jayhawks’ 72-69 win over North Carolina in New Orleans. Here is what to know.

When: 4:15 p.m. Tuesday

Where: Booth Memorial Stadium, with seating limited to the west side of the stadium

Stadium gates open: 3 p.m. Tuesday

Parking: The Mississippi Street Parking Garage will open at 2 p.m.

Shuttle service: Starting at 2:30 p.m., a shuttle will run from downtown Lawrence and from Lot 90 on the KU campus
