It’s down to final few games for Kansas City Mavericks’ 2021-22 ECHL hockey season
Coming off a three losses last week, the Kansas City Mavericks ECHL hockey team returned to the ice for a game in Texas on Wednesday.
Here is what is going on with the Mavericks this week.
Game Recaps
Last Wednesday, the Mavericks (29-31-2) fell 3-2 to the Allen Americans in overtime at Allen, Texas.
Then lost 3-1 to Allen again on Friday and 3-2 in a shootout against the Wichita Thunder on Saturday.
‘Beefs Night’ a success
Last Saturday, the Mavericks celebrated “Beefs Night” in conjunction with Red Top Farms at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence.
For every Mavericks goal scored at home this season, Red Top Farms donated 300 pounds of meat to Harvesters. On Saturday, Red Top Farms presented a certificate to Harvesters for 28,200 pounds of meat.
Also, DiPasquale Moore donated $50 per Mavs home goal to Harvesters and on Saturday night presented Harvesters a check for $4,700.

The Mavericks traveled to Allen, Texas for games on Wednesday and Friday against the Allen Americans.
Next Home Game
The next Mavericks home game is Fan Appreciation Night on April 15 against the Wichita Thunder.
It’s the final regular-season home game of the Mavs’ 2021-22 season at Cable Dahmer Arena.
The Mavericks’ final game of the season is the following evening, April 16, at Wichita.
