Attorney General Schmitt pushes COVID arguments in Missouri, and opponents push back

What is Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt doing?

That’s the discussion question that highlights this week’s edition of “4Star Politics,” the joint digital production of The Kansas City Star and WDAF-TV/Fox 4 in Kansas City.

Schmitt has pressured several school districts, and other jurisdictions, to cancel mask and vaccine mandates. Some have pushed back, claiming Schmitt’s views aren’t binding and are based on politics.

Political consultants Annie Presley and Rosetta Okohson join hosts Dave Helling and John Holt to discuss Schmitt’s reaction to COVID-19 restrictions, his U.S. Senate campaign, and the campaigns of his opponents.

The group also discusses Washington developments, including — for now — the potential collapse of the Build Back Better proposal.
