Watch: The life and legacy of Bob Dole, from fellow Kansans who knew him well

Former Kansas Sen. Bob Dole’s story and legacy are this week’s topic on 4Star Politics.

Two men who knew Dole well — Bill Lacy, director emeritus of the Dole Institute of Politics, and Fred Logan, former chairman of the Kansas Republican Party — join Dave Helling and John Holt for a discussion of the Kansas senator’s life and times.

Washburn University political science professor Bob Beatty rounds out the discussion.

Dole’s heroic military service, his influence in Washington, his three presidential campaigns and other highlights of the 98 year-old’s career are part of the discussion. The panel pays tribute to the Kansas icon, considered one of the most important public figures in state history.

Dole died on Sunday, Dec. 5.
