Spectacular weather night expected for high school football in Kansas City area
It will be a spectacular night for high school football in the Kansas City area Friday, according to Fox 4 meteorologist Michelle Bogowith.
“We will be down into the 60s throughout the evening,” said Bogowith, who provides weather updates to The Star. “It is definitely going to be cooling off and cooling off quickly.”
But before the cool late-summer evening temps arrive, allergy sufferers will have to deal with high pollen and mold counts, she said. Smoke from the western wildfires also lingers in the area.
“Those with health concerns and health issues should limit their exposure outside for the day today,” she said.
It’ll be a sunny day and after a very cool start, highs will reach into the low 70s. Temperatures will dip into the 40s overnight. Highs this weekend will be in the 70s with overnight lows in the 50s, Bogowith said.
Temperatures will begin to warm back up next week, climbing into the low 80s by mid-week.
The National Weather Service in Kansas City said no severe weather is expected as the metro continues to enjoy pleasant weather.
