No more heat and humidity, Kansas City weekend weather will be cooler with a chance of rain
The month of August is expected to close out with much cooler, pleasant and milder temperatures for the Kansas City area, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
The weather on Saturday may start out rainy, but hot and humid conditions are not expected.
“The heat is breaking and tomorrow cooler weather,” said Lauria, who provides a weather update for The Star. “We may not get to 80s (degrees), depending on the clouds.”
Rain chances are higher in the area south of Kansas City. Then the rain will gradually shift towards the south as the day goes along.
“From daybreak through noon at least the chance of rain will be out there and with the north wind, the clouds, the rain in the area, temperatures tomorrow may really struggle,” he said.
Temperatures may reach between 75 and the low 80s.
“You will notice the humidity coming way down,” Lauria said. “As a matter of fact as we head towards Sunday, the morning lows will drop into the 50s.”
After a week of hot and humid temperatures, the weather next week is expected to be much more pleasant.
“Overall no more 90s — 70s and 80s for afternoon highs,” he said.
