Hot, humid weather expected to return this weekend, hang around for the rest of August

After several days of mild and pleasant weather, much warmer and humid conditions are expected to return this weekend and will be around for the rest of August, according to FOX4 meteorologist Garry Frank.

“It’s not been so muggy the last few days but it is going to get even more muggy,” said Frank, who provides a weather update to The Star. “It’s not anything crazy, we have seen much worse this year but it’ll feel much more like August over the next few days.”

There’s a chance of rain early Sunday but those showers may be isolated, Frank said.

“That looks like our best bet at the moment; until then it’s relatively dry. We are about an inch above normal for the year,” he said.

After a brief rain on Sunday, temperatures are expected to return to 90 degrees with more warm weather to finish August, Frank said.
