Milder temperatures and mostly dry weather in forecast this week for Kansas City

The weather forecast for the Kansas City area this week calls for relatively mild temperatures and some chances for rain showers early on, according to FOX4 meteorologist Alex Countee.

Temperatures on Sunday should reach about 86 degrees by 4 p.m., falling to about 84 by 6 p.m., said Countee, who provides weather updates to The Star.

After some chances for overnight showers Sunday and Monday, no rain is expected and high temperatures will likely stay in the 80s.

“Throughout much of this week, we’re sticking with a more mild pattern,” Countee said. “It’s staying pretty dry, as well.”

High temperatures are expected to reach 85 Monday, 83 Tuesday, 84 Wednesday, 86 Thursday, 88 Friday, and 89 Saturday.

Temperatures may reach the 90s heading into the next week.
