‘Enjoy a dry stretch’ this week in Kansas City metro with no rain in the forecast

Kansas Citians should look forward to a week of dry air and average temperatures, according to FOX4 meteorologist Garry Frank.

Dry air is continuing to filter into the metropolitan area, said Frank, who provides weather updates to The Star.

“We’re going to see a lot more dry air, and that’s going to be very, very pleasant for us,” Frank said.

The National Weather Service — in one line of a “summertime haiku” posted to Twitter Saturday afternoon — said people should, “Enjoy the late summer warmth.”

Temperatures this week will be in the middle to upper 80s, Frank said, which is normal for this time of year. Lows this week will hover in the 60s.

“But drier conditions persist,” Frank said. “In fact, over the next seven days, it’s very dry. Not much going on at all.”

By the end of the week, Frank said, the humidity will be back.
