Very cool, near-record temperatures expected in Kansas City early Wednesday
The cool, fall-like temperatures will continue early Wednesday and may dip to a record low for this time of the year, said FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
“Temperatures tomorrow morning are going to be down in the 50s. We may break a record,” said Lauria, who provides weather updates to The Star.
Slightly warmer weather is expected for Wednesday afternoon. Temperatures will continue to climb on Thursday and throughout the weekend.
“Great weather for tomorrow,” he said.
There is a chance of rain and possible thunderstorms Thursday night and Friday morning. Some areas may see much heavier rain and storm showers, Lauria said.
“This is kind of like the change that we have been telling you about with more humid air, warmer air coming our way as we finish off the week and head into the weekend,” he said. “So just beware that things are going to be a lot more summerish out there over the weekend.”
The weekend forecast calls for temperatures to reach the 90-degree mark with some rain and thunderstorms.
