Expect autumn-like temperatures for Kansas City on Sunday after brief rain showers
A series of brief, isolated showers and thunderstorms are in the Sunday forecast for Kansas City. Those rain showers will fizzle out by sunset and much cooler, drier conditions are expected for early next week, said FOX4 meteorologist Garry Frank.
“This is not going to be a widespread rain, it is going to be brief and it is not going to be heavy either so keep that in mind,” said Frank, who provides weather updates to The Star.
Rain showers and brief thunderstorms are expected to occur for the central portion of Missouri. But that weather system will provide much cooler and almost autumn-like temperatures for the Kansas City area beginning on Monday.
“It’s going to be very, very pleasant,” Frank said. “In fact some of our mornings are going to head in the upper 50s and middle 50s. And down the road, it’s pretty nice.”
Temperatures are expected to climb by the end of the week and there are a few chances of thunderstorms in the early morning and afternoon hours.
“But other than that, it is a very nice start of the week,” he said.
