Weather forecast for Kansas City has warmer temperatures this weekend
The Kansas City area will get a glimpse of spring this weekend as high temperatures will resemble what the metro sees in mid-April, not late-February.
“Check out this weekend’s forecast,” said FOX4 meteorologist Michelle Bogowith, who provides weather updates to The Star. “Make some outdoor plans. Enjoy that sunshine and enjoy the warmth.”
Highs will reach the middle 60s on Saturday and Sunday. The normal high for his time of year in Kansas City is the upper 40s, according to the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill.

The Star produced this weather update in partnership with the local FOX4 television station. The station’s meteorologists create forecast videos multiple times a day for the newspaper to include in its weather reports.
But first, Kansas City-area residents will have to deal with colder temperatures, with highs Wednesdays maxing out around 40 degrees, Bogowith said. Strong northerly winds will make it feel more like the temperatures are in the 30s.
The forecast hints at a warming trend with highs in the upper 40s and low 50s on Thursday and Friday to close out the work week.
The start of the work week will still be mild, with highs in the 50s. The next chance for rain will come Monday and Tuesday, she said.
