Another round of snow possible in Kansas City starting Tuesday morning

Kansas City may get hit with some snowflakes Tuesday morning and again in the evening, said FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.

“Our weather is looking a little changeable as we head towards Tuesday,” said Lauria, who provided The Star with a weather update.

A chance for snow arrives Tuesday morning.

“I would not be surprised if maybe we see a few snowflakes out there,” Lauria said. “But because of the warm ground temperatures and the warm pavement temperatures, don’t think we’re going to have any issue on the roads.”

The afternoon high is slightly below average at 40 degrees. Then snow mixing with rain is possible Tuesday night.

As temperatures get colder, patches of black ice could develop Wednesday morning.

The weather starts to warm Friday and by Sunday, it could get up to 60.
