Rain and cold weather in forecast for Kansas City this week
The weekend trend of warm weather and sunny skies will continue Sunday as afternoon temperatures are expected to reach the low 50s, according to FOX4 meteorologist Alex Countee.
“It would be a good one to get outside and enjoy today,” said Countee, who provides weather updates for The Star.
The pleasant, warm and sunny weather on Sunday will give way to rain clouds and showers on President’s Day. The temperatures will drop a bit by the middle of the work week.
On Wednesday, the high temperature will barely reach the freezing mark with a low temperature of about 15 degrees, Countee said.
“We do have another shot of winter coming as we push deeper into the week,” he said. “But much like last week, we are quickly warming up.”
There will be a noticeable warm-up by Thursday and Friday.
“We will notice a big swing back towards 40s and making another run towards the low 50s as we head towards next week,” Countee said.
