Warmer temperatures will continue this weekend in KC. Light rain possible Monday

The warmer temperatures and sunshine Saturday melted some of the snow that blanketed the Kansas City area earlier this week, and the temperatures are expected to warm up more this weekend, according to FOX4 meteorologist Garry Frank.

Saturday’s temperatures were in the mid 40s.

Sunday’s forecast calls for partly sunny skies and a high of 51.

The next chance for precipitation is Monday, when the area may see a few light rain showers in some spots, Frank said in a weather update to The Star. The temperatures Monday are expected to reach the 40s, possibly the low 50s.

Temperatures later next week are expected to be slightly below average, though “not quite the extent that we just had, however,” Frank said.
