After cold end to the week, Kansas City to have warmer holiday weekend
After a frigid end to the work week, temperatures in the Kansas City area are expected to warm up for the Presidents Day weekend.
Throughout the weekend, high temperatures will sit in the mid 40s and low 50s said FOX4 meteorologist Alex Countee in a weather update for The Star.
“Tomorrow will actually probably be the best day out of the next seven,” Countee said.
Temperatures Saturday will rise to about 45 degrees by 4 p.m. Countee said. Although the day started cloudy he said he expects the sun to peek out in the afternoon.
Sunday, Countee said, will be sunny with a high temperature of 51 degrees.
Countee expects similar temperatures on Monday but he predicts a 40% chance of rain in the afternoon.
A cold front Monday will bring temperatures back down into the 30s for the rest of the work week, Countee said.
“We start to recover as we head towards the end of next week,” he said.
