Sunny skies Saturday will give way to rain showers and warmer temperatures on Sunday
Clear skies and sunny weather are expected to stay in the Kansas City area all day Saturday before clouds bring rain Sunday morning.
Temperatures Saturday are expected to stay in the low 40s before dropping into the 30s after sunset, said FOX4 meteorologist Alex Countee in a weather update for The Star.
“Throughout the rest of the day today we’re holding on to that sunshine,” Countee said.
After sunset, however, clouds will begin to roll into the area bringing rain showers in the morning. There is currently an 80% chance of rain Sunday, according to Countee’s forecast.
Despite the rain and clouds temperatures will be warmer Sunday then Saturday with an expected high of 46 degrees.
“After those morning rain showers tomorrow there’s really not much else to worry about over the next seven days,” Countee said.
Temperatures are expected to drop into the high 30s and low 40s for the remainder of the week with few chances of precipitation before Friday.
