Weekend in Kansas City area will kick off with some sunshine. Rain is expected Sunday
Saturday’s forecast calls for sunny skies and highs in the 40s in the Kansas City but there is a chance for rain later in the weekend, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
Early Saturday morning, temperatures will start out in the 20s but it will warm up to 41 by the afternoon, according to the forecast.
Rain will likely fall on Sunday morning. Then, a cold front is expected to move through the area and sweep the moisture away. The high temperature will be 46 in the afternoon but it will drop to the 20s overnight.
The next chance for wintry precipitation could be Wednesday night into Thursday morning, Lauria said in a weather update to The Star.
“That could be a rain/snow combination that we’ll need to watch as we head toward Valentine’s Day,” Lauria said.
