Thursday’s forecast is cloudy and cold. But on Sunday, it will feel like Miami
While Thursday’s forecast will be cloudy and cold, temperatures will warm up by the time the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers on Super Bowl Sunday, according to FOX4 meteorologist Karli Ritter.
Thursday temperatures will stay in the 30s, said Ritter, who provides weather updates to The Star. The Kansas City area could also see some patchy fog during the first half of the day.
BEHIND THE STORY
MOREHow we did this story
The Star produced this weather update in partnership with the local FOX4 television station. The station’s meteorologists create forecast videos multiple times a day for the newspaper to include in its weather reports.
On Friday, temperatures could hit the upper 30s and cloud coverage will continue.
Saturday is when the warmer temperatures pick up. Temperatures could reach nearly 49 degrees as the sun starts to poke out.
The sun finally comes back on Sunday when temperatures hit 66 degrees.
“Even though you’re not going to Miami, it may feel pretty close to Miami-type weather by the end of the weekend,” Ritter said.
Miami on Sunday will have a high of 69 degrees, according to the National Weather Service Miami-South Florida.
