Cooler weekend morning temperatures in Kansas City turn to unseasonably warmer weather
Temperatures are expected to climb in the low to middle 40s on Friday after cool morning weather, according to FOX4 meteorologist Karli Ritter.
“Later on today we are going to be watching our numbers drop initially then recover as the sun comes back out,” said Ritter, who provides weather updates to The Star.
While Kansas City will experience above normal temperatures, colder weather and even some minor snow is expected to hit Sedalia, Columbia and other communities east of the area.
“This snow as it moves in will bring some cooler weather,” Ritter said.
Accumulations of a dusting to half an inch will be possible, according to the National Weather Service.
The weekend weather will start out with temperatures in the 20s but a warm up is expected.
“The recovery and payoff is there with sunshine and near 50 by the end of the Sunday,” Ritter said.
