A warm front and rain will arrive Saturday in KC, but Sunday is a different story

This weekend’s weather in Kansas City will be a roller coaster ride as temperatures soar on Saturday and then take a dive.

A warm front will bring Saturday’s high to 57, but the chance for rain is widespread, said FOX4 meteorologist Michelle Bogowith, who provided a weather update to The Star.

“Nothing severe, but we will see some pretty impressive rainfall totals,” she said.

Sunday’s high drops to 40.

“For Sunday, temperatures are going to go tumbling,” Bogowith said.

Flurries could come down late in the day and temperatures will continue to drop.

“Maybe a few flurries return late in the day on Chiefs Sunday,” she said. “We’ll be down into the 30s for the game.”

Colder air takes over early next week, but Bogowith said the New Year should kick off on a warmer note.
