Christmas Day in Kansas City won’t feel like winter with highs in the mid-60s

It won’t be a white Christmas in Kansas City, but it will be a warm one.

“As we finish the year and the month of December it shouldn’t be this warm, but it is,” said FOX4 meteorologist Gary Frank, who provided a weather update to The Star. “It’s going to be very pleasant if you like being outdoors with sunshine this time of year.”

Wednesday’s high is 64 degrees.

“It will get cooler Thursday, but even as we drop 15 degrees, it’s still 10 degrees above normal,” Frank said.

The next chance for rain will arrive late Friday and into Saturday.

“It may change to a few flakes of snow, but we’ll monitor that,” Frank said. “Right now the track is we’re just going to get rain.”
