Your Kansas City forecast: warmer weather this weekend, arctic blast on Monday
Warmer weather is expected to stick around through the weekend in Kansas City before an arctic blast returns the city to typical December temperatures.
“We have a beautiful December forecast ahead of us,” said FOX4 meteorologist Karli Ritter in a weather update for The Star.
Temperatures Saturday are expected to stay in the upper 40s, rising to the low 50s by mid afternoon, Ritter said.
But, Ritter said “by Monday afternoon it is going to be a whole lot colder.”
High temperatures Monday through Wednesday are expected to stay in the 30s, more typical of December weather.
After Wednesday afternoon, Ritter said, temperatures will rise back into the 40s.
Ritter said she does not expect chances for rain or snow over the weekend or early next week.
