Kansas live election results: U.S. House, State House, Senate, Board of Education

In the 2024 election, the entire Kansas Legislature is on the ballot. Voters will also weigh in on U.S. House representatives, plus the Johnson County sheriff and district attorney.

Below are live results in different races across the state:

Kansas votes for U.S. President

Donald Trump is projected to win Kansas, earning six electoral votes.

U.S. House District 1

Kansas’ 1st Congressional District covers all of Kansas from Dodge City west and most of the state north of Interstate 70. “The Big First” includes Garden City, Dodge City, Hays, Hutchison, Salina, Manhattan and Lawrence.

Incumbent Tracey Mann defeated challenger Democrat Paul Buskirk.

U.S. representatives serve two-year terms.

U.S. House District 2

Kansas’ 2nd Congressional District winds from the Nebraska border to the Oklahoma border, including part of Kansas City, Topeka, Emporia, Parsons, Pittsburg and Coffeyville.

Former Attorney General Derek Schmidt won the open race, successfully mounting a political comeback.

U.S. representatives serve two-year terms.

U.S. House District 3

Kansas’ 3rd Congressional District includes southern Wyandotte County and all of Johnson, Miami and Franklin counties.

Democratic incumbent Sharice Davids defeated Prasanth Reddy to secure re-election.

U.S. representatives serve two-year terms.

U.S. House District 4

Kansas’ 4th Congressional District includes Wichita, Newton, Pratt and areas south to the Oklahoma border.

Republican incumbent Ron Estes defeated Esau Freeman on Tuesday.

U.S. representatives serve two-year terms.

Kansas State House Results:

State representatives are lawmakers responsible for drafting and voting on legislation. They also help create the state budget and create legislation that helps regulate state agencies. There are 125 state representatives in the Kansas House, each serving a two-year term at a time.

Kansas state senators serve four-year terms. Use the drop down to see individual district results.

Kansas Board of Education

The state board of education has 10 members elected for four year terms. The board oversees public schools and represents the educational interests of the state. If you don’t know your district, look here.

Among those securing seats Tuesday were a Republican and Democrat from the Kansas City area. But the board’s partisan split still hangs in the balance.

Johnson County Sheriff

Byron K. Roberson defeated Republican Doug Bedford to become Johnson County’s first Democratic sheriff in nearly a century.

The Johnson County sheriff serves a four-year term.
