Word of advice when fanning out during Taylor Swift’s Eras tour: While focusing on the megastar on stage, try not forget about that other massive star in the sky.
While attending Swift’s concert in Cincinnati on July 1, one fan cleverly wrote a famous lyric on her chest but now is suffering the repercussions of not wearing sunscreen.
TikTok user @saccharinesylph wrote one of the lyrics from “You Need to Calm Down” on her chest and sports it in a video that as of July 5 has almost 60,000 likes and over 16,500 shares on the website.
The lyric?
“Shade Never Made Anybody Less Gay.” (Though the writing says anyone instead of anybody.)
And now, it is sunburned onto her chest.
“I (expletive) up,” @saccharinesylph wrote in the caption under the 11-second video that first showed her in a rainbow-tinted dress while sporting the writing on her chest and then the burn in the same spot after removing the ink.
Quite naturally, the comment section loved it.
“I saw a video of this happening to someone at pride and the words were still on them A YEAR LATER,” one person said.
“I guess some shade would have been a little bit helpful,” another person joked.
“What if I told you none of it was accidental?” someone asked, referencing Swift’s song “Mastermind.”
“Why isn’t this viral?” one person noted.
“I’m so sorry I am actually wheezing over this,” another said.
“It’s PERFECT. Like you were shaded just where the letters were,” someone pointed out.
“This is hands down the BEST thing I’ve seen on this app,” one person commented.
