A man is dead following a shooting Thursday at a convenience store in south Kansas City.

Officers with the Kansas City Police Department were dispatched to a convenience store in the 1300 block of Bannister Road just before 6 p.m. on reports of a shooting, according to a press release from department spokesperson Capt. Jake Becchina.
