Two men are dead after a shooting in Kansas City’s North Hyde Park neighborhood Tuesday, police said.

Officers responded to a call for the sound of gunshots just after 11 p.m. at a residential area in the 3400 block of Harrison Street. They found two men with gunshot wounds lying unresponsive in the street, said Capt. Jake Becchina, a police spokesman.

The officers rendered medical aid to the men until paramedics arrived and transported them to a hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.

There is no suspect information, Becchina said, and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

Detectives are working to determine what led up to the shooting. Investigators are canvassing the area for witnesses and processing the scene for evidence.

The killings are Kansas City’s 27th and 28th homicides of 2025, according to data maintained by The Star.

Anyone who may have information about the shooting is asked to contact homicide detectives directly at 816-234-5043 or the TIPS Hotline anonymously at 816-474-8477. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information submitted anonymously to the TIPS hotline.
