Teen shot and killed after gunfire erupts during an argument at Kansas City home
A teen died after being injured when gunfire erupted in during an argument Sunday evening in Kansas City, a police spokesman said.
Officers responded shortly after 5:15 p.m. to investigate a reported shooting in the 3300 block of Bales Avenue in the Palestine West and Oak Park Northeast neighborhood, said Sgt. Phil DiMartino with the Kansas City Police Department.
Residents in the area directed arriving officers to a home on the block, where they found a boy suffering from a gunshot wound, DiMartino said. Officers began performing first aid and requested an ambulance respond to the home. Emergency medical crews took the boy to a hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Police on Monday identified the teen killed in the shooting as 15-year-old Tacobe Kindred.
