Investigators from multiple police agencies are offering a $5,000 reward for information about over two dozen firearms stolen from an out-of-state business this week.

Employees of Stag Arms and Aero Precision USA, a federal firearms licensed shop based in Cheyenne, Wyoming, were traveling through Kansas City and staying at a hotel at the time of the burglary, according to a news release.

Sometime between 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14 and the next morning, 25 firearms were stolen from the business’ U-Haul, according to a news release from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in Kansas City.

ATF special agents in Kansas City and the Kansas City Police Department are investigating the burglary.

Investigators have not yet said if they have identified suspects in connection with the theft.

The agencies are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the theft. ATF is offering a reward of up to $2,500, which will be matched by the National Shooting Sports Foundation for a total reward of up to $5,000.

This reward is part of a national initiative between ATF and the Shooting Sports Foundation in which the foundation matches ATF’s reward in cases involving theft of firearms from federally licensed firearms retailers.

Anyone with information about the theft is urged to contact ATF at 888-283-8477, or via email at ATFTips@atf.gov. People can submit an anonymous tip through the “ReportIt” app, available for Android and iPhone, or text ATFKC to 62975 and follow the prompts.
