A driver is in critical condition following a hit-and-run crash early Sunday in Kansas City.

Police responded around 2:46 a.m. to the crash in the area of Vietnam Veterans Memorial Drive and Broadway Boulevard, said Capt. Corey Carlisle, a spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department.

A white Dodge Charger was doing donuts in the area, when a group of motorcycles and ATVs was traveling northbound on Broadway.

The Dodge struck one of the minibikes, ejecting its driver, who wasn’t wearing a helmet.

Carlisle said the Dodge fled the scene, and the group the operator was traveling with took the minibike from the scene.

The minibike operator was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
