Kansas City woman seriously injured after car overturns in Platte County crash

A Kansas City woman was seriously injured after a one-vehicle crash Friday night in Platte County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded around 11:01 p.m. to the crash at the 3.8 mile marker on southbound Interstate 29, according to a crash report.

Cara McFarland, 48, was driving a 2005 Lexus GX470 on I-29, when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned.

McFarland was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
