Kansas City police investigate critical injury hit-and-run at 39th and Prospect
A Kansas City pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition on Monday evening after being struck by a hit-and-run driver, according to police.
Officers responded around 6 p.m. to 39th Street and Prospect Avenue on a reported collision, according to a written statement from the Kansas City Police Department.
Police said the pedestrian was crossing 39th when he was struck by the motorist. The vehicle was described by police as a red GMC truck.
Further information was not immediately disclosed by police.
