12-year-old reported missing from Kansas City on Sunday night found safe, police say

Update: Police said Monday that the 12-year-old was found safe.

Police are asking for help finding a 12-year-old girl who was last seen early Monday morning, a police spokesman said.

Amiylah Shade-Hill disappeared about 12:15 a.m. Monday and her family is concerned for her welfare, said Capt. Corey Carlisle, a spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department.

Amiylah was described as being 5-feet-3-inches tall, weighing about 100 pounds. She has brown eyes and black and burgundy hair.

At the time of her disappearance, Amiylah was wearing a royal blue jacket with white writing on it, black shorts and dark pink crocs. She had a camouflage duffel bag with “Cookie” written on it.

Anyone who has seen her or knows of her whereabouts is asked to call the Kansas City Police Department’s missing persons section at 816-234-5043.
