Two teenage boys hospitalized after shooting Tuesday in Kansas City, Kansas
Two teenage boys were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after being shot in Kansas City, Kansas, police said.
The boys were traveling in a car near N. 73rd Terrace and Parallel Parkway around 2:30 p.m. when they were shot, said Nancy Chartrand, a spokeswoman for the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department.
One of the boys suffered serious injuries. Both were transported to a hospital, Chartrand said.
There was no suspect in custody or a description.
A school nearby was briefly put on lockdown as a precautionary measure, Chartrand said.
