FBI looking for victims after Topeka coach is charged with sexually exploiting minors

A Kansas high school basketball coach has been charged with sexually exploiting minors by allegedly using social media to produce child pornography, according to a news release.

The U.S. Attorney’s office in Kansas announced Wednesday that 40-year-old Jeffrey D. Pierce of Topeka has been charged in federal court with two counts of producing child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography.

Pierce, a coach at Seaman High School in Topeka, allegedly produced the child pornography between March 10 and 14. The possession crime allegedly occurred Wednesday, according to the release.

The FBI in Kansas City announced in a press release Thursday that it was asking for the public’s help in identifying possible other victims.

Pierce allegedly posed as a teenage girl on social media and solicited explicit photos or videos from the juvenile victims.

Pierce allegedly contacted his victims through Instagram, Snapchat, KiK and Grinder.

He allegedly used the following user names:

The Seaman School District posted the FBI’s press release to its Facebook page, telling people to check social media accounts for the screen names listed in the release.

Pierce was currently in federal custody, according to the FBI.
