66-year-old Bonner Springs motorcyclist dies in crash Tuesday night, police say

A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday night in Bonner Springs, police said.

Officers were called to a crash at about 8:40 p.m. at Loring Lane and Stillwell Road, according to a news release on the department’s Facebook page.

A 25-year-old De Soto man was driving a vehicle east on Loring Lane when he and a motorcyclist driving from the opposite direction collided, Bonner Springs Police Department officials said.

The motorcyclist, a 66-year-old from Bonner Springs, was declared dead at the scene. The victim has not yet been identified publicly.

Police said the other driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.
