Three people suffer gunshot wounds to legs in shooting outside Kansas City home

Police are investigating an early morning triple shooting at a Kansas City home where all three victims had been shot in the leg, police said Wednesday.

Officers responded to the shooting shortly after 12:30 a.m. in the 2500 block of East 68th Terrace, according to Officer Doaa El-Ashkar, a spokeswoman for the Kansas City Police Department.

Arriving officers found one of the victims at 68th Terrace and Prospect Avenue. Two other victims were found nearby in the 2500 block of 68th Terrace. All three shooting victims were male, El-Ashkar said in an email

Police also found three other victims, a male and two females, who were uninjured. The injured victims were taken to a hospital, she said.

Police found shell casings at the scene. Crime scene investigators responded to collect evidence.

No suspect information was available.
