Man charged with driving under the influence in Olathe crash that injured 10

A 30-year-old man faces 12 charges, including driving under the influence, following a multiple vehicle crash in Olathe that left 10 injured.

Prosecutors charged Miguel Perez-Ramirez with 10 counts of DUI aggravated battery and two counts of aggravated child endangerment in Johnson County District Court on Monday.

Just before 5 p.m. on June 28, Olathe Police Department officers responded to a four-vehicle crash at the intersection of Old 56 Highway and South Harrison Street.

Ten people were taken to hospitals with injuries.

The Olathe Police Department and the Johnson County Crime Lab investigated the crash.

Perez-Ramirez’s bond was set at $250,000. His first court appearance was set for Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
