Police investigate Wednesday morning shooting of man at hotel near Kansas City airport

Police were investigating a shooting of a man Wednesday morning at the SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western near Kansas City International Airport, a police spokeswoman said.

The victim’s condition was not immediately known, said Officer Doaa El-Ashkar, a spokeswoman for Kansas City police.

Officers responded shortly after 8:40 a.m. to a reported shooting at the hotel in the 11800 block of Northwest Plaza Circle. Arriving officers found a man who had been possibly critically injured in a shooting, El-Ashkar said.

No suspect information was available.
