Woman charged in Sunday crash that left one dead in Kansas City, Kansas

A 25-year-old woman from Kansas City, Kansas, has been charged in a crash that killed a man.

Kendra K. Womack was charged with failure to stop at an accident that resulted in death, according to a news release from the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department.

Officers responded early Sunday to a crash at North 10th and Parallel Parkway.

A sedan carrying three adults and two juveniles was crossing Parallel Parkway when it was struck by an SUV.

The driver of the sedan died at the scene. He was identified as Myron Gardner, 42, of Kansas City, Kansas.

The two other adults and two children in the sedan were taken to a hospital, along with one adult passenger in the SUV.

The driver of the SUV allegedly fled on foot, but later turned herself in, the police department said.

Womack’s bond was set at $100,000.
