One injured in overnight shooting at Kansas City, Kansas, home

One person is in serious condition after a shooting in Kansas City, Kansas, early Saturday morning.

Police were called to a home in the 1200 block of Rowland Avenue just after midnight Saturday for a shooting, said Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department spokeswoman Nancy Chartrand in a news release.

When officers arrived at the home, Chartrand said, they found a man in serious condition from a gunshot wound. He was brought to the hospital.

Police did not immediately provide information about suspects.

The release said the shooting remains under investigation and that anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
