971 crimes were reported in Kansas City in one week. How many were in your area?
More than 970 crimes were reported the week of April 5 in Kansas City, just slightly more than were reported the previous week, according to a Kansas City Star crime map created with city data.
The top three reported crimes from April 5-11 included 154 cases of non-aggravated domestic violence, 74 cases of property damage and 63 cases of items being stolen from autos.
Police also responded to 59 reports of aggravated assault, 54 cases of non-aggregated assault and 52 calls of shoplifting.
There were 961 crimes reported the previous week starting March 29.
