Overland Park police ask for public’s help after body found on Interstate 435

Overland Park police are asking for the public’s help after a body was found last week on Interstate 435 at Roe Avenue.

Police believe the person died after being struck by a vehicle and are looking to speak with witnesses.

Officers were called to the area just before 1 p.m. March 26 and found the victim dead at the scene, according to a news release issued Wednesday.

Officer John Lacy said in an email that it appeared the person had been struck in the westbound lanes of the interstate under the Roe Avenue bridge.

The victim’s identity has not been released.

The Overland Park Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit is investigating. Anyone with information or any witnesses are asked to call police at 913-895-6411.
