1,324 crimes were reported in one week in Kansas City. See if any happened near you
More than 1,300 crimes were reported in Kansas City in the last week of February, according to a Kansas City Star crime map created with city data.
Among them were 64 aggravated assaults, 30 home burglaries, and 13 robberies of businesses between Feb. 23 and Feb. 29
Ninety-two stolen cars, 16 arsons and six cases of credit card fraud were among the 1,324 crimes reported in that period.
The map displays the locations of offenses with multi-colored dots and is searchable by street address.
Clicking a dot reveals information about the crime. The map includes filters for different types of crime, and selecting a filter allows users to see only the occurrences of that crime.
The Star tracks homicides around the metropolitan area in a separate, regularly updated list. That list is posted here.
